Fantastic Four

Another fantastic movie from comic! Superhero is a never obsolete topic of hollywood movies. every year quite a few superhero movies were made. I found most of them are quite entertaining. just like Chinese Kongfu novels, these movies are fairy tales for adults in americal culture. With help of computer effects, all the fantastic actions in the origianl comics can be displayed on the screen today.
however, a great disadvantage of this type of movies lies in their plots. Most stories are similar: both good side and evil side own superpower, but finally the evil side is defeated, and the victory always belongs to justice. In these movies, acting is not so important, I guess that's why no famous stars showed up in this movie. But I do like Jessica Alba (The Invisible Woman), she's so beautiful!
In a word, it's a good movie for relaxing.

Batman begins

I have been expecting to watch this movie, partly because of its high rating on IMDB (over 8.5/10), and partly because of its strong cast (talented director, several great actors, etc.). But to be honest, I am kind of disappointed with this movie after I watched it eventually. I have to admit some scenes are beautiful and well-designed, and the movie inherited the dark and mestic style of the comic and previous batman movies. The flaws still remain in the plot and acting. The story is too simple and actors don't express the inside of characters very well. I don;t think Christian Bale is a fit actor for Bruce Wayne. I still miss Tim Burton's Batman returns. It;s already been a milestone of batman movies and so hard to be surpassed

war of the worlds: Another Hollywood Commercial movie

undoubtedly, this movie is a feast of visual effects. After all, it's the most expensive movie so far. However, I was always thinking it seemed to lack something, although it has all kinds of elements: movie star, famous director, fantastic computer animation, classic story, etc. Oh, yes, it lacks surprise. Steven Spielberg
was always able to surprise audience. Remember "ET", "Jurassic Park", and "Schedeler's List"? But today's "War of World" could be made by any director besides him. Spielberg's golden age was over.

Sideways, What a nice movie

I haven't seen a wonderful movie like this for a long time. Sideways, now becomes one of my favorite movies. using very plain movie language, this movie discussed marriage, love, friendship, wines, and everything touching my heart. Although they are good buddies, Myers and Jack have totally attitudes toward life and love. still loving his ex-wife, myers hasn't dated anyone since he divoced, and he put all his efforts in a novel based his experiences and thoughts on life, but this novel is never going to be published because it's hard to read. Myers is a reserve and intelligent man with good taste of wine, who is also really serious to love and marriage. whereas his old fiend jack is a playboy who is going to be married in a week and asks myers to teach him knowledge of wine. They drive to a small town in California, where a rare type of grapes were produced, and the wine make by these grapes is very tasty. Howerve, another purpose of Jack for this trip is to have wild sex before his wedding.

The most touching sence to me is that after myers know his ex-wife has been married again and pregnent, he backs to his home, takes his most precious wine (1961 chateau) to a fast food restaurant and drink it with some garbage food. from this scene I understand how empty he must feel, because he told maya he will only drink this with the right person at the right time. however, the ending of this movie gives some optimistic implication, which means myers finally are able to move on and try a new relationship.

I have so many thoughts on this movie, but I just cann't write all of them down. there are no famous movie star in the cast of this movie, but they are definitely excellent, any one of them. compared with other oscar nominated movies this year, it's simply the best in my mind.
